Attention Touring Groups!

Tom Breiding Stonestreet Station Stonestreet Station
Is your band, big name or not, planning a tour that gives you a free day and Wheeling, WV is not too far off of your path? If you are interested in doing a concert at the Vineyard Cafe then email us and we will try to work something out. Our regular scheduled "Up Close In Concert" series is booked almost a year in advance but we decided to try something new. We normally are open on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, doors open a 6:00 p.m., Open Mic starts at 7:00 p.m., extended mic starts at 8:00 p.m. and the concert starts at 8:30 p.m. However, we decided to be more flexible so we may be able to accommodate touring groups and have a concert on off weeks, a different day and possibly with different timing; but it must be scheduled far enough ahead so we can have time to publicize it.

We have been contacted before by groups on tour and could not fit them into our inflexible already booked up schedule. Last summer a college group from Sweden was touring, they wanted to play but we were not open the week they had an open date. Dah! There have been several others that would have been great bookings. Recently we were contacted by a group, The Paul Poulton Project (Rock/Funk/Blues), from the United Kingdom. They will be doing a concert in London on July 18 and 19 called "Power Explosion London!" After that they are flying into the midwest on July 22 and have concerts in Ohio on July 24 and Indiana on the 25th and 26th, Wisconsin on the 27 and 29th etc. They had July 23 free. We were not even scheduled to be open that week ... in the past they/we would have been out of luck. However, we worked it out and were able to schedule a special night at the cafe on Thursday, July 23 which opens the entire tour. How about that!

We don't plan on doing this type of thing very often, but we do want to be open to it and even encourage it. Only the Lord knows, who we might be able to book in. Paul Pouton has toured the USA previously and has about 12 CD's to his credit. Not a big name maybe, yet. If you have a similar profile, had several CD's and are doing a tour that passes through the Wheeling/Pittsburgh area maybe we can work something out.

So we have a new date on the Vineyard Cafe schedule.
